Fitzy's 5K Halloween Event

Lauren's Foundation raises money for three very worthwhile causes.  The primary fundraising event is Fitzy's 5K run, held each year on the last Sunday in October.  This event draws hundreds of participants from southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. Learn more.

Opportunities For Students

Lauren's Foundation recognizes high school students that, despite adverse personal circumstances and challenges, have maintained an excellent academic record and high level of involvement in school and community activities. Learn more.

Brain Tumor Research

Through Lauren's Foundation, an annual contribution is made to the American Brain Tumor Association, a leading non-profit organization that researches the causes and treatments for brain tumors, in the hope that one day, a cure will be found. Learn more.

Helping Local Families

Lauren's Foundation helps local families caring for seriously ill children, by providing financial support to help pay for living expenses during difficult times - allowing caregivers to focus on their child's health, comfort and medical treatment. Learn more.

Lauren M. Fitzgerald

Lauren was a life-long resident of Berks County, PA. She attended Wyomissing Area Schools, from kindergarten through 12th grade. While in high school, Lauren excelled academically. She was a Latin scholar and traveled with her classmates to Italy and England during freshman and sophomore years. She was inducted into the National Honor Society in 2003. Lauren was active in Student Council and was involved with the morning announcement program. She was also an active member of the stage crew.

Our 6th annual Fitzy's 5K Run & Halloween Event, held on 10/31/10, was a huge success!  Look for the new features we added in 2010 to continue this year - including the .3 mile Kid's Run, supervised children's area, health-services fair with Red Cross blood drive, Gift of Life, free massage, silent auction - and live entertainment, our fabulous buffet and more!
