Lauren's Foundation Sunflower Fund
New this year, the Sunflower Fund was created to help local families struggling with the costs of caring for a child with a serious illness. Reading Hospital, in Reading, Pennsylvania, and St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia assist with selecting and identifying a family as the Fund recipient.
Once a family/child is selected, the Sunflower Fund is used to help pay household expenses - mortgage/rent payments, utilities, car payments, etc...) for a period of time, providing much needed financial assistance - and allowing caregivers to spend more time with their child.
The Sunflower Fund benefits local families. Your contributions and donations help real people - your neighbors - right here in Berks County.
Once a family is selected, you will be able to learn more about their circumstances and the struggles they're facing - and what your donations mean to them. You'll also have the opportunity to view photos and get to know the family you helped!
